What the store sees and what stays in PayPal

The store receives confirmation that the payment happened plus some payer data: name, email, account country. Your card number never leaves PayPal.

That payer email is not decorative. When it matches the email on your account here, the order is approved with no extra wait; when it does not, the system cannot assume the person paying is the person buying.

The flow, without surprises

You choose PayPal, its window opens with the dollar amount, you approve and come back. The order page takes over and checks the real payment state against PayPal, so what you see there is not a guess made by the browser.

There is no need to wait inside the PayPal window or keep the tab open. The order has its own public reference and its page arrives by email; with that reference you can come back at any time.

Payer verification is not a review on our side

Sometimes PayPal asks the payer for an extra confirmation before treating the operation as closed. In that case the order waits for that verification and the page says so in those words, rather than showing a generic status that helps nobody.

Currency conversion: two possible rates

If your PayPal account is not in dollars, someone has to convert. PayPal usually offers its own rate and, in many cases, lets you use the rate of the card funding the payment. Those are two different figures for the same order.

The order's dollar total does not change because of it; what changes is how much leaves your pocket. That screen is worth reading before approving instead of discovering it on next month's statement.

Refunds: the way the money comes back

A refund returns to the PayPal account you paid with and, from there, to the card or bank that funded it. The timelines are set by PayPal and your issuer, not by the store.

Before opening a dispute it is worth writing to support with the order reference. A top-up already delivered to the right number cannot be undone on the operator's network, and that context is exactly what an automated dispute does not see.

Final checklist before you send

Confirm the recipient number from a current source before paying. A saved contact can be outdated, copied with extra characters, or tied to a SIM the recipient no longer uses.

Review country and carrier together. A correct number with the wrong operator can fail or route incorrectly, especially when a family member has changed lines.

Choose the product for the recipient's next real need: flexible airtime for plan control, data when connectivity is the priority, and promotions only when the rules are clear.

Keep one checkout session open and wait for the final status before retrying. Multiple attempts can create duplicate payments or confusing pending states.

Save the receipt until the recipient confirms the balance or package. The transaction reference is the fastest path for support if the operator takes longer than expected.
